Hey Davis Square! I got an iPhone, so I'm finding several of my old electronics redundant these days. They (+others) are for sale behind the cut. I've also got a lot of bric-a-brac that I've been keeping around for projects I'll never do (let's be fair--who doesn't?).
Drop a comment if you want any of it. You can come grab it from my place near Ball Square. Possibly willing to trade for different electronic crap.
Consumer Electronics:
MP3 player (8 GB), $50
http://reviews.cnet.com/mp3-players/creative-zen-mozaic-8gb/4505-6490_7-33183861.html
Comes with all associated cables & software. About 2 years old, the screen has some wear & tear but still completely readable, no big scratches. I love this player, super recommended.
Cell Phone w/ QWERTY, $200
http://reviews.cnet.com/cell-phones/lg-env3-slate-blue/4505-6454_7-33665842.html
Comes with all associated cables & software. Only a couple months old. Verizon. Has two games installed.
Micro SD Card (8 GB), $10
w/ full size SD adapter. Works in the above cell phone.
MP3 player (1 GB), $10 each
http://reviews.cnet.com/mp3-players/sandisk-sansa-m240-1gb/4505-6490_7-31563923.html
I've got two -- one pinkand one silver.
Digital Camera (7.1 MP), $75
http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-cameras/canon-powershot-sd1000-digital/4505-6501_7-32314638.html
About 2 years old. Has a small scratch on the LCD screen. Comes with associated cables and software. Comes with SD cards: 1 GB, 512 MB, 32 MB
External Harddrive (500 GB), $50
Western Digital, USB connection. Similar to but not quite:
http://reviews.cnet.com/external-hard-drives/western-digital-my-book/4505-3190_7-31793425.html
Desktop RAM (512 MB DDR2 667), $10 each
http://www.pacificgeek.com/product.asp?id=50932
I have two of these.
Thumb Drive (32 GB), $40 each
I have two of these. They're no-name and crappy looking. I've had some trouble w/ data corrupting when I try to fill the whole thing all at once, but no problems at all when using incrementally.
Hobbyist:
FPGA Dev Board, $75
http://www.digilentinc.com/Products/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,400,799&Prod=S3BOARD
Comes with both USB->JTAG and parallel->JTAG programmers. 200K gates. Xilinx. Guys, FPGAs are so awesome.
eeePC, 700 series "Surf", blue. $30.
This will run off battery, but there's some problem between the jack and the battery-charging circuit. Won't run off the AC adapter, which I don't have anymore anyway. It's also missing a lot of screws. An enterprising person with more free time than I could surely get it working. The battery works fine, which is why I'm asking $30 for it. I'll put on a fresh install of eeeBuntu before I give it to you.
Crappy old cell phone, free.
The programming interface is bent, so it might not be possible to actually get it activated. But you're welcome to try. The exterior screen is damaged. The battery is still good & charges fine. For the enterprising person, a perfectly good LCD screen and keypad.

Things that came out of a dying laptop, free:
- 2 sticks of 512 MB, DDR 333 ram - (it's possible these are what caused the laptop to fail, I have no way to check)
-100 GB harddrive, PATA interface. I need to wipe this before I can get rid of it. If you have a setup that can wipe it (i.e. a small form pata enclosure) & will let me borrow said setup to do the wiping, it's yours.
- The laptop itself -- enclosure, mobo, wireless card, lcd screen, dvd burner, power brick. http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/toshiba-satellite-p35-s605/4507-3121_7-31416533.html
Random crap, free:
I've got several mice, cables, interface adapters, video cards with blown caps, power converters, things that seem like they'd make good enclosures. If you're the sort of person who feels like they can always use more electronic crap, please inquire.
