seriously, I squee'd at today's groupon. it's $10 for $20 at Zing! Pizza. I squee'd so hard my roommate asked me what was up.

I love me some Zing! pizza, with all my heart. For those of you who do not know of it, Zing! started as the cafe in Porter Square Books, then opened a pizza place, on mass ave pretty near in *front* of Porter Square. They do a thin crust pizza that I adore, with lots of locally sourced meats and cheeses, and many vegan options, and gluten free ones and just all sorts of stuff, and everything is tasty as heck.

Also in davis square couponry, today's CoupMe is $20 for $40 at Diva. It can only be used during dinner hours (no going in with 4 people for the lunch buffet). I have never bought a CoupMe yet so I don't know much about the experience with them, I'm afraid.

I read everywhere that Zing has vegan options, but I survey their menu every couple of weeks and never see anything (especially with their limited toppings.) Last week I could have ordered a crust with just sauce and spinach, I noticed today that they just added onions and mushrooms. This isn't anymore "friendly" than most other pizza places (where I can order a pizza w/o cheese)-so I wonder why they have this reputation? /rant

they've had pizzas with veggie sausage and they have had soy cheese mozzarella in the past. I don't know what they have right now. I'm not vegan, or even vegetarian (though I eat vegetarian 5 days out of 7, I don't make any effort), so I've only noted these items on the menu, I haven't tried them.
