Tap trees and Wreathcycle
Jan. 21st, 2010 10:10 amI'm pasting this from a Friends of Community Growing Center post - help tap Somerville trees to make maple syrup this afternoon!
Thursday, January 21st, 2010 TODAY!!!
TREE TAPPING EVENT!
3pm, meet at the corner of Professors Row and College Ave near Tufts
University. We will be tapping trees on the hill by the Memorial Steps and
behind the Bromfield-Pearson Building.
Learn how to tap a tree, see how it was done before electric drills, and learn
about maple syrup and the Somerville Maple Syrup Project. Kids welcome!
Rescheduled from Monday:
Wreath Cyclic Event, Sat. Jan 23, between 12-2pm to help us recycle and reuse
the wreaths that have been returned for this effort. Enjoy some outdoor time
and good conversation, as we dream and scheme about the coming growing season,
including ways that we can find to deepen the ecological integrity of our work.
Call Lisa if any questions at 617-666-2969 or lisa.bruk@gmail.com
