Woodworking?

This is a long shot, but I figured I would try the Davis Sq. community:

Does anyone here have a planer they would be able to let me use? Please let me know what compensation is required.
Or, does anyone know of an open woodshop in the area where you can pay to use the power tools?

I need to use one, and do not have room to buy one now.

Any suggestions?

You might get in touch with Willoughby & Baltic, an open shop in Union Square, and see if they have a planer. I'm not sure what kind of tools they have in the new space on Joy Street since I haven't been.

Thanks for the suggestion. If I can't find a neighbor, I will certainly try to seek them out.

If you get really stuck, I have a 12" planer in my basement. Will be around and doing some woodworking myself this weekend.
Just don't sue me if you tear your arm off.

Thanks for the offer. I am available all weekend. the planing would be very quick and simple. I have three pieces of wood, about 10" square and 3/4" thick, that I need to plane down. I have not used a planer in a long time, but I state to you here under sound mind and knowledge that I accept any and all risk that comes with using power tools such as your planer and that I assume responsibility for your equipment when using it.
