Body Shops?
Dec. 5th, 2004 10:06 pmLast week, my car was off having fun without me and got into an accident. This week, I really ought to take it into a body shop to get started on the estimated $4K worth of repairs that may take a week or more. *sigh* At least it's covered, anyway.
Does anyone have recommendations for a great body shop? I live in Davis, but I'd rather go a bit of distance than settle. My insurance company gave me a list of all the certified body shops in the county, with the "preferred" places in bold. Using a preferred shop could be better for me financially (though I do have some paranoia that the special deals between the shops and the insurance company might mean lower grade work -- any thoughts?), but again, my priority is excellent work. My last car was in a minor accident before I owned it, and the replacement panels ended up rusting out. I've only had this car for a month (*sigh*) and I do not want anything similar in its future.
Thanks!
