Tufts Film Series Spring 2010 Schedule - Free Movies

It's tentative and you can always expect changes, but here is the Tufts Film Series schedule for this semester. It's weighted a little bit more to classic movies this term, but still a good chance to see films like Avatar, Up in the Air, A Serious Man and Fantastic Mr. Fox, that you haven't seen yet.

For those of you asking about the Film Series admission policy for non-students/non-Tufts affiliated individuals, here's what they have told me: They welcome all, with priority going to Tufts students. I've never seen anyone turned away from a regular screening (advance screenings are a different matter) and very few of the screenings get anywhere near 50% capacity. TFS does not charge for its screenings.

The films usually show 3 times per weekend with 7 and 9:30 pm screenings on both Friday and Saturday, and one Sunday afternoon/evening screening. The other film gets its third showing either at midnight Friday or Saturday or on Sunday. There can be changes for film length or other considerations. All films are shown in Barnum 008 (behind the elephant on the academic quad). Use the back entrances.

Because the films are usually 35 mm, projected by students, expect projection and sound problems, late starts, cell phone interruptions and late arriving crowds. Remember, you can spend $10 for the same issues at a theater.
