Tell me a story about our neighbor square

 Happy Presidents Day fellow Davis Square lovers.  I am working on a project for school about our neighbor, Union Square.  I'm collecting stories, of all kinds, about Union Square past or present and overlaying them on an interactive map of Union Square.

Any and every kind of story, anecdote, comment, experience or impression is welcome.  Time frame and subject are totally irrelevant to this project.
