Tell me a story about our neighbor square

 Happy Presidents Day fellow Davis Square lovers.  I am working on a project for school about our neighbor, Union Square.  I'm collecting stories, of all kinds, about Union Square past or present and overlaying them on an interactive map of Union Square.

Any and every kind of story, anecdote, comment, experience or impression is welcome.  Time frame and subject are totally irrelevant to this project.

I don't have any particular stories in mind, but add me to the list of people interested in the finished project. I've really grown to love Union Square since I moved here and would love to know more about the area.
