Studio Assistant needed for a few hours Saturday Dec. 18 (tomorrow)

I need to hire someone to help me get some production work out the studio door. I have artwork to mat and frame and other pieces to photograph. I'll need assistance tomorrow (Saturday, maybe 11am to 4 or 5 pm) and then again in January, maybe the 9th, 10th, 11th or so. You need not be quote an artist unquote, but you must be confident and steady with a mat knife, able to reliably cut a straight line, and able to maintain a generally pleasant disposition whenever I'm in earshot.

I'll pay $8 an hour for someone with "some skill with a blade," and $10 for someone with actual matting experience. It's not a lot of money, but it's cash-in-hand and there's not a lot of downside to the work, either, just a few hours every now and again in my studio in Somerville.

Hey, I'd love to help out occationally, as I do have some matting experience, and live within easy walking distance of Davis. Sadly tomorrow is a terrible day for me as I've commited to helping run a friend's table at a local event.

Hey Miss Chance. A friend of mine directed me to this post. I am currently unemployed and doing odd jobs while trying to get re-employed. (Got laid off in the 2nd week of December. Nice holiday present huh?) And I not only have "some skill with a blade" I know how to cut mattes, have done it before, and own my own matteing kit which I will happily bring along and use to your advantage. Can't really do tomorrow since its a bit short notice to try to shuffle plans around. But I would be happy to do this any other time you'd like. And that does include weekdays and evenings for the forseeable future until I either find a job or get a lot more interest in interviews from the resumes I have been sending out.

It's good to know you're available (sorry to hear about the lay-off, though). My immediate need is for today, and I do have someone, but I'll call you in January if I need help again, then. I have some big ol' convention thing to get some work ready for.
