Hi all-

Thanks for the great response to our last study recruitment posting.  We are now opening up participation to people who have both no/low-credit card debt (i.e., <$200), as well as high-debt.  Details below!

Does the current economy have you re-examining your personal finances?  Are you interested in learning more about how you spend and save?

Tufts University researchers are seeking individuals to participate in a 3-month study investigating how people monitor and understand their spending.  Participants will be compensated $150 over the course of the study and receive training with a spending management tool.

Participants must:
- be over 18 years of age
- have a stable income
- carry either LESS than $200 or MORE than $2000 in credit card debt
- have regular access to the Internet and be able to come to the Tufts Medford campus once a month.

If you are interested in participating or learning more about the study, please contact the study coordinator at tuftsspending at gmail dot com.  This study is sponsored by the Psychology Department at Tufts University and has been IRB-approved.

Are unemployment benefits considered a 'steady income' for this purpose?

I asked that same question in e-mail.

I can't even begin to tell you how predictable and consistent unemployment is.
