Hi all!

I was just wondering if anyone can recommend me some yummy hot fudge that I can buy in the area (Shaws counts too). Just... nothing from Smuckers or Hershey's please :D

Thanks!

Just out of pure curiosity, why not Smuckers or Hershey's?

I'm pretty sure Pemberton Market has some yummy hot fudge in addition to other delicious dessert toppings.

J. P. Licks!

"Our Homemade Hot Fudge is the best stuff you can put on your sundae! It's thick, rich and super-intense. We make it all here in Jamaica Plain in our super steam kettle from real butter, high quality chocolate liquor and the best cocoa powder available."

I'd go with this choice. It's heavenly! (and now I'm craving it but I'm not walking down there in the snow :-))

Be on the lookout for Sassy Sauces (http://sassysauces.foodzie.com/). They're local (Natick) and excellent and usually found in places like Dave's Fresh Pasta or Pemberton.

this is what I came in here to push. We got them at the Arlington Farmer's Market last summer, specifically the Rum Caramel/.

Eager salesperson: ....and it's good on bananas, or on french toast...

NOM NOM NOM.

by 'The Dairy Bar' do you mean the place next to Kickass Cupcakes?

Yes. (Brain fog, isn't that what it's called?)

Probably, but I don't know if the name is widely known.

Go down to Burdick's Chocolate (http://www.burdickchocolate.com/recipes-list.asp) in Harvard Square. Their "hot chocolate" can easily be used to make hot fudge sauce too. Nomnomnom.

I'll second this. Tosci's fudge is yummy.
And they'll sell it to you in large quantities if you ask ahead. We did an ice cream celebration once... all the fudge went away. And that was not a small amount of fudge.

Emack & Bolio's (http://www.emackandbolios.com/chocolates.htm) sells hot fudge though it's not listed on their site.

Would you like an easy recipe?
Microwave 1/4 cup of dairy (milk, cream, half & half) with 2 tablespoons unsalted butter in a 2-cup Pyrex measuring cup for 60 seconds.
Add a cup of chocolate chips. Microwave for a further 45 seconds.
Whisk this until glossy.
It'll be as tasty as the chocolate you use.
Any leftovers (!) can be refrigerated, then reheated in the microwave for 15 seconds.

I second the recommendation for J.P. Licks' hot fudge. Waaaay better than anything you can buy at the supermarket.

My mom and sister love Gaga's. I' think Whole Foods has it and maybe other places too!
