Wallpaper installer recommendation

Howdy everyone.

Anyone have a good wallpaper installer in the area to recommend?

I want to do something funky in a little nook in my kitchen and I'd attempt it myself but the wallpaper I want to use is really pricey so I don't want to risk messing it all up. BTW, I joined Angie's List a few months ago to be able to look up stuff like this and it's pretty disappointing in general. My sister-in-law moved here from Minneapolis and said it's really active there. But every time I go to look something up for this area it's a ghost town. Bummer because Angie's List is such a great idea in principle.

When I search for "wallpaper" on Angie's List, the first hit is a company 4.2 miles from Davis Square with 244 reports on it, "ABE SCHICKEL & CO INC".

Doesn't seem like too much of a ghost town to me.

Well, maybe I'm just stumped by Angies List. I'm a huge consumer of all kinds of crowdsourced informational websites and I've never had as much trouble understanding any site as I do with Angie's List.

They say that "ABE SCHICKEL & CO INC" has 244 reports but when you click on the company, you see that there are only 2 reviews. 1 person used that said they decided not to use them and 1 person who used them in 2007. That's pretty useless.

Then the company with the next largest number of "reports" is "Orcutt Painting Co Inc" which has exactly one member review from 2002. A lot can change with a company in 8 years.

Maybe I'm using this website incorrectly but after I searched for wallpaper I clicked on several of the companies that came up and for many of them I see no reviews and for the ones that do have a review they are usually years old.

That's 2 reviews for that company's wallpapering jobs, but there are also 71 reviews for their interior painting, 72 reviews for their exterior painting, 7 reviews for their wallpaper removal, and so on.

For the interior painting, there are three reviews from February of 2010 alone, so there is some recent information.

Angie's list isn't perfect by any means, but I do think it's possible to get useful information out of them.

Ah ha. I don't think I would have noticed that you have to search again for the company name to see more reviews. Thanks for pointing this out.

I'm really late to this thread, but did you ever find or use anyone? We're moving into a new place with ugly old wallpaper, and I'd love to either get it removed and painted anew, or paper over it with one of those funky modern wallpapers (don't know how feasible this actually is). Thanks!
