maharaja restaurant gone?

Has anyone heard if the Maharaja restaurant (at the corner of Mass Ave and Walden St, across Walden from the KFC) is closed for good?

I was there the other day and it was closed, but it looked like maybe they were renovating or maybe they'd shut down for good. Their web site is still up, but they're not answering their phone. Anyone know for sure?

I hear there's yum Japanese Macrobiotic-Vegan fare there..

EDIT: Yup, what a shame, it seems to not exist anymore. I also had not seen it, but being that I moved out of the Porter area this fall, I was hoping it was a *new* place..oh well

I'm moving to Magoun Sq in Somerville, in a few days, and I barely know the area. Can anyone tell me if Sound Bites, the breakfast place on Broadway, is really as bad, service-wise, as the horror stories indicate? Is the food worth it?

Big-ass pothole on the middle of School St between Medford St and Highland just before City Hall. It damn near got my car.
