New yoga class in Cambridge!

A message from my friend Jane:

Starting this Sunday (02/05) I'm teaching my first yoga class! It's geared to beginners but suitable for intermediate as well. You can show up to any or all classes. I have a teacher training after this class finishes (3/19), and I'll start up again in early April after I return from that training.

Since I'm renting the space, this is not on their official schedule, so word of mouth is my only advertising. If you think of anyone else who would like to come, please forward this on.

Clean Up Davis Square

Davis Square is a great place to live.

Lately though it seems to have gotten a little shabby with an increase in littering and graffiti.

 

I'd love to meet up with a few people on a weekend morning (or covertly late at night!) and repaint graffiti on trashcans and doorways, pick up litter, plant flower seeds...whatever it takes to bring a nicer, cleaner environment to where we live.

The city doesn't seem to have the will so let's take the initiative.

Fresh Pond Cinema to reopen?

If you phone the theatre today at (617) 661-2900 , you will hear a recording announcing that the theatre is "temporarily closed due to a change of ownership." The recording says it will soon reopen as the "all new Entertainment Cinemas Fresh Pond, with new lobbies, all digital sound, a cafe seating area, and the return of our two-story waterfall." It does not give a date for the reopening.
