Hey, I've been living in Davis since June and have been watching this community, but this is my first time posting... hi!

The reason for my post is this: I'm a graphic artist with a strange problem. I own a Wacom Graphire3 art tablet and ever since I've moved to Davis I've noticed a little jitter to my cursor whenever I use the tablet to draw. My brother has a tablet in the apartment and it has the same problem so I know it's not just my device. It renders the tablets useless since all of my strokes come out all shaky. I've tried calling Wacom directly and they think that the only explanation is that there might be a very strong source of RF interference in the area.

Is there a radio station close to Davis or has anyone had similar problems? Any solutions?

Thanks!
~Rich

My father works at a Somerville Homeless Shelter on College Ave. and mentioned to me yesterday how often guests are showing up to the shelter with $600-$800 bikes that they've either stolen or have bought off other people in the square for $20. My father has warned the guests that if he sees anymore of them with bikes like these he is going to call the police, but I wanted to put out a heads up to everyone in this community.

Be very careful with your bikes, not like residents around here didn't know, but take every precaution to lock them up as well as you can. Be aware of your serial number in case the bike shows up at a police station and you've filed a report.

I have recently purchased a used kimono that I wish to wear for my wedding, but I want to have it dry cleaned first. Can anyone recommend a dry cleaner in the area that might have experience with kimono.

Thanks

I'm collecting stories about Fenway Park on a little Place Blog, sort of like a scrapbook. Anybody can add whatever they want to it. Stories, pictures, even videos. My friend from New York is doing the same for Yankee Stadium. If you've been to Fenway, please contribute to the collection.

If you'd like to see how the Yankee Stadium Place blog is looking, go ahead and a click here to check it out

(We can totally do better than that.)

Hello!

My name is Matt, and I'm looking for an apartment near Davis Square beginning September 1. I'm 28, omnivorous, have my master's degree in counseling, and I am professionally employed as a massage therapist, working in Harvard Square. I'm a non-smoker and have no pets, but I do have a car, which is like a low-maintenance pet. A really big one. I'm good about cleaning up, and I always pay on time. I'm very laid-back and friendly and don't stress out too much. I like watching movies and hanging out with friends, going to museums and taking long drives on the beach (not really).

Here is what I'm looking for: I want friendly roommates, a decent sized room (big enough for a queen-sized bed, but doesn't have to be huge) and a space in the apartment where I can set up a massage table. Though I do my professional massage work at my job in Harvard Square, I sometimes like to do massages for friends at home. A den, office, enclosed porch or pretty much any area with a door that can close will work fine.

If you have something that might work, please respond to barodar.livejournal@gmail.com.

Thanks!

Matt

Hey all. My neighbor notified us that he saw 2 men jump out from behind the wall at Kidder and College last night around 11pm and try to drag a woman (who was walking about 50 feet ahead of him from the T) down Kidder. He yelled and they ran off. When the police arrived, they said a similar incident had been reported the week before on Morrison. Has anyone heard of this or similar stories? Does anyone have a description of the alleged assailants?

ARG!!!! THIS PISSES ME OFF TO NO END.
