Hey everyone.  I need to lease/rent one or two parking spaces in Davis Square.  Please let me know if you have or know of anything available.  Finding a reserved spot has been really tough :-)

Thanks!

Good morning everyone!

Is there anyone here that drives into the Longwood Medical/Northeastern University area for school or work (day shift)?  I've fractured my foot, and getting out to Brigham and Women's Hospital every day has been a nightmare (and I can't afford/justify taking a couple of weeks off).  I work 9:00-5:00, but would happily get in earlier.  Of course, I would help with gas/parking money/springing for your morning coffee!  Even if it was just the ride in, it would be a huge help (I can take all the time I need getting home.)

Please comment, or email me at terry 102276 (all one word) at yahoo dot com.

Thanks for looking!

Hi,

I'm writing to let you know about an interesting career panel titled:

"Career Transitions: From Math & Science to Poker & Politics"

taking place at MIT tonight. Professional poker player Andy Bloch will be there. Andy finished second at the 2006 World Series of Poker HORSE event last year. He holds two Electrical Engineering degrees from MIT and a law degree from Harvard. The panel also features: Greer Tan Swiston, candidate for local office after years as an IT executive at Fidelity Investments & Merrill Lynch; Rocklyn Clarke, pastor & founder of Life Church, with an MIT Physics degree and experience as an Information Systems project manager; Stever Robbins, executive coach, after launching multiple successful software businesses (including FTP Software). The panel will be followed by a career workshop led by Stever. Admission is $12 (free for MIT students) with Pizza served at 6pm.

When: 6:00-9:00pm, Thursday, March 15
Where: Broad Institute Auditorium (7 Cambridge Center), next to the Legal Seafood near Kendall Square T-stop

I checked the archives for this, but didn't see anything. Is there a place to get a good cup of Turkish coffee in the Davis area? I know of Algiers in H^2 and The Middle East in Central, but I'd like to find a place I can walk to.

Thanks!

I'm working on a project that requires a Hello Kitty component.  I'd like to find a statuette of Kitty about a foot high- a bank or lamp or something would do.  I would cheerfully buy your Hello Kitty figurine, but if you're unwilling to part with it, I would borrow it for a weekend, then return it to you.  I could pay you back with 1. chocolate chip cookies, or 2. a papier-mache Hello Kitty.
