Foam?

Hi, I'm really hoping someone can help me with this.   I have a sofa that my parents made 30 years ago when they were in grad school and it desperately needs new cushions.  They are not in any way a standard size as far as I know.  (the sofa itself is 6ft wide by 34 in deep and the cushions are 5in high).    My question is, where could I find someplace (hopefully nearby) that will sell foam that they will cut into pieces for me?  I don't have a car, but in a pinch I might be able to get a ride from someone if necessary.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hello all:

I am a recent transplant to the area, and I'm interested in joining (or starting...) a book group.  Any of you bookish types have a reading club that you frequent or of which you know?  I asked at Porter Square Books if they hosted or knew of any and I was shocked to get blank looks.  Are there any other nerdy hot spots I should check with about reading groups?  Ideally, I'd like a group that reads lit fic, narrative nonfic, SF/fantasy, female authors, or feminist writing--or any combinations of the above (woman-penned fiction, feminist SF...).  Aiming for a book-a-month pace.

If nothing like this exists, I'd be all for starting a casual book club meet-up of the type I seek--any interest?

Hi everyone,

I work in DS and am offering free tickets to Jimmy Tingle's new show--Jimmy Tingle For President-- for this weekend. The theater is at 255 Elm, in the basement and is air conditioned.

Click here to read and print the coupon I made here http://jtobcoupons.blogspot.com/2007/07/free-tickets-to-jimmy-tingle-for.html.  It's totally free--no catch.

Hope you come and enjoy it.

Thanks,

C

I Googled around, and searched davis_square's archives specifically, and didn't find anything about this. Is there anywhere in the vicinity - Medford/Somerville/Cambridge, or maybe further afield - where I can recycle plastic bags (i.e. regular shopping bags & other #4-plastic bags)? Does Shaw's or another supermarket have a return? I've got a whole trash bag full of them, accumulated by my roommates and me over the course of the year, and I'm moving out Sunday, so any help is highly appreciated. Thanks! (or if you can use a whole bunch of LDPE, let me know!)

While we're on the subject...

Any recommendations for nearby grocery stores besides Shaws? I absolutely hate that place. It's so crowded, and the prices aren't great. So ideally, some place that's cheaper where you don't bump into someone every 3 seconds.

Discuss.

Thought I'd post this here JUST IN CASE (since it was near Davis Square).  Someone posted this info on Craig's List.

So, who made the completely adorkable tree sweater on the tree just outside the t stop exit closest to the theater? I would provide a photo but i always forget to bring my camera with me.
