Is there anywhere in the immediate Davis Square area where I can get flax seed oil?

I'm self employed and work from home in the Union Square / Prospect Hill area of Somerville. I would love a good excuse to go out twice a week in the middle of my work day for a brisk walk with a dog for exercise.

* my only concern is that I am allergic to some dogs but not any specific breed, so we would have to see how that goes.

Free coffee at a new cafe

I dropped by the brand-new Ball Square coffee house on Broadway, across the street from True Grounds. (Yeah, I know.) They seem to be going for a slightly more restauranty vibe, having place-set tables with matching napkins and all, but they're happy to sell coffee to go as well.

I met one of the owners, a friendly dude who was enthusiastically greeting everyone coming in. He told me that they're serving coffee on the house for their first few days of operation. Dunno how long that's gonna go on, so look for the balloons and follow your nose if you'd like to try a complimentary cuppa. I can attest that they have a decent dark roast!
