Scarlet 'R' -ugh...tires. Where to buy around here?

So my car just failed inspection- the scarlet 'R' -  because the tires have little cracks... (not the treads... ;-) Plenty of tread but little cracks along the edges. Seems like a scam to me but what do I know.

Anyway, I've never bought tires - no idea where to go. Is there a reliable + rea$onable place around here (or anywhere...since I have a car)

I expected (and even hoped) to be woken up last night by celebratory noise if the Sox won, and I was, but it really wasn't too much. This was up between Ball and Powderhouse. Were things down in Davis anything like 2004's incredibly fun street party?

Dorkbot Boston is holding their Halloween party on Tuesday, October 30th from 6-9. This party features Halloween inspired interactive entertainment created by members of Boston Dorkbot. Be sure to be there by 7 to get a slice of the interactive jello brains.

The interactive pieces will be on view until November 4th, but if you aren't there at 7 on Tuesday, you won't get a slice of brains.
