There's a High Wind Warning today:

Statement as of 10:46 AM EDT on November 03, 2007
... Damaging winds will occur this afternoon into the evening particularly across Cape Cod and the islands where they are expected to gust to over hurricane force for a few hours...
... High Wind Warning remains in effect until 11 PM EDT this evening...
Damaging north to northeast winds will develop across eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island this evening. The strongest and most damaging winds will likely occur between 3 PM and 9 PM.
The strongest winds will occur across southeast coastal Massachusetts in the mid afternoon through evening hours. Sustained winds of 35 to 50 mph with gusts up to 70 mph are expected during the peak of the storm.
In the Boston to Providence corridor... southward to the Rhode Island coastline... sustained winds will increase to 30 to 40 mph with gusts as high as 60 mph during mid to late afternoon and evening hours. The winds will be somewhat less further inland...but damaging winds are still expected as far west as western Rhode Island and the Merrimack valley with the fully leafed trees in place.
A High Wind Warning is issued when sustained winds of 40 mph are expected for at least an hour... with gusts of 58 mph or greater at any time. Damage to trees... power lines... and property are possible with wind of this magnitude. Power outages are likely. Take action now to secure any loose outdoor objects.
