What does it mean when your toilet makes blorping sounds and fills partially from below with clear water, then goes soundlessly down to its normal level?  Is that a city water thing, or is my toilet possessed?  It's not a happy toilet at the best of times, and needs to be babied (minimize paper, feed Drain Care enzyme treatment regularly, etc.) but until now it's only done that during one of its "episodes."  It had a minor, easily cleared blockage 2 days ago - that seems a bit remote to be prompting the Toilet Gods to speak, but as you can tell, I don't know guess what about plumbing.

Besides Stinky's, does anyone know about options for dog walking in the area? Individuals or companies would be fine.

Just curious how many of us are in the area and if there's ever a meet up of sorts.... Thoughts?

I couldn't be happier with the success of the yard sale! Literally dozens of people helped out not only by donating items but their time and resources to making sure this worked.

I'd love to do this once a year!

Are you ready for the total?

*drum roll*

Considering the money also donated online, the grand total is over $1200! That money will do good things and the Executive Director of the SHC was there to discuss the organization.

BTW, If someone is missing a rain tarp, I have it at my place.

Dog walking

I was thinking the other day that I miss having a dog. I really can't have one -- I live alone, and am just not home enough to take care of one. It occurred to me, though, that maybe there's someone else in the area that has a dog, that wouldn't mind if I took him out for a walk once in a while. Could be a win for everybody, including the dog.

Ideally, this dog lives in the Ball Square area between Broadway, Boston, Morrison and Willow, and wouldn't mind if I stopped by on random weekday evenings and weekends to go for a walk. Ideally also, no one will *depend* on me showing up regularly -- my schedule is too busy and erratic and I just couldn't commit to that.

But if free, irregular, bonus dog walking sounds good to you, let me know, c/r/o/a/l/d, g/m/a/i/l.
