**updated**

I am doing a little New Years Cleaning and have a few things that I thought I'd post before sending them off the Goodwill to see if anyone was interested....
1.  An armadillo purse
2. Stuffed animals (in good condition):  a monkey from the University of Montana and a small frog
3.  60W Flood indoor lightbulb
4.  Christmas stencils
5.  Video games: Space Colony
6.  Old reference books: thesaurus, dictionary, small desk encyclopedia...they look pretty classy if nothing else

ALSO!  A paper floor lamp from Target.  It works, but the main bar that holds it up is crooked and drives me insane.  It probably would ten minutes and a trip to the hardware store to fix it.  See: http://www.target.com/Rice-Paper-Lantern-Floor-Lamp/dp/B0007G6OCU/sr=1-2/qid=1230680729/ref=sr_1_2/184-1800540-6672722?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Apaper%20floor%20lamp&page=1

If anyone is interested you can email me at mberbeco at hotmail.com.  I live between Davis and Ball Square.

Have a great New Year!

I just got my first theremin and I'm trying to find someone to teach me how to play it. No luck on craigslist yet; I myspace messaged the Lothairs to see if they could help but haven't heard back.

If there happens to be a good theremin player here who can at least get me started, hit me up. Likewise if you know of a place/person who can help out.

I want to pass this along to the Davis community. If you see an ad for an apartment at 243 Highland Ave, Do Not rent this apartment. The landlord, "Eric", is uncaring as to the state of the apartment, refuses to do more than the absolute minimum with repairs, and is dangerously, violently short-tempered.

Multiple windows are cracked or broken, the pipes in the basement are exposed to the elements(what fun in winter!), he doesn't have working carbon monoxide or smoke detectors, and the capper to this charming joint is the squirrels that routinely get into the kitchen, ensuring you can't keep anything but canned food(they'll gnaw the cans too).

Eric has been reported to the Board of Health and isn't allowed to rent until the 5 pages of violations are fixed, but given his disregard for the law, I'm sure a little thing like the law isn't going to stop him.

Hi All,
first time poster with a quick question.

I was recently given a car starter for Christmas. My car is a 2005 so in order to set it up they need the security chip from my spare key. I'm now having to go back to the dealership to get a new spare. I've heard (but could be completely wrong) that some hardware stores are able to copy keys at a much cheaper rate without the chip and it's just as effective as a spare...

Has anyone tried this or know of a local spot that has mastered the art of saving me $100!

Thanks!
