Davis is dirty

I live in Spring Hill, but go to Davis often and I'm a big fan of a numbers of businesses there:

Diva, Spike's, Mario's Salon, McKinnon's, JP Lick's, Dave's Fresh Pasta, Diesel, etc.

My problem is that every time I go there, particularly in the winter, the place is a dump. There is garbage all over the place especially in high foot traffic areas. Why doesn't the city make more an effort to keep Somerville's #1 destination clean?

Anyone know what was going on in Davis last night? Saw about 4-5 cruisers with their lights on in front of the CVS. The appeared to be questioning some folks.

Davis Area Free Films - Feb. 15th - 22nd

It's a weird mix of films at Tufts this week. Films about baseball at US internment camps for Japanese, films about immigration, films in Portuguese and Thai. Enjoy.

Tonight, you can see "Once" with Tufts Film Series at 8:00 and "Grindhouse" at 10:30. Next weekend features "There Will Be Blood" and "PCU".

Other highlights:

* The German House Monday night film series takes the week off for President's Day.
* Tufts EPIIC will show "City of God" on Tuesday.
* Students at Tufts Acting for Immigrant's Rights Coalition will screen "The Visitor" on Tuesday as well.
* "American Pastime" will also be screening on Tuesday.
* Tufts Romance Language Dept. will show "A Hora da Estrela" on Wednesday as part of the Brazilian Film Series.
* The Medford Library will show "Joy Luck Club " on Thursday.
* The Tufts Thai Club will feature "Bangkok Dangerous" on Thursday.
