Wheel Questions

I'm Ashley Taylor, a reporter for the Somerville News writing a story about John Monsarrat's Wheel Questions installation currently at Davis Square in front of the 7-11.  

What do you think of it?  

Have you posted questions, and did you appreciate the answers?  Or do you just read it?  

Or have you never heard of it or seen it?

Particularly, as members of an on-line community, what do you think of the idea of having a community based around a physical structure, "the Wheel"?

Nearby resources for *making* jewelry?

I have several stones from a beach trip with a friend, that look better when wet. I'd like to make jewelry out of them in a way that will keep water locked around either one stone (for a necklace), or several stones (for a bracelet). A custom-sized glass container (that also holds it still on the inside), or shrink-wrapping them in durable but clear plastic, seem like my only options.

Any ideas for people / places nearby that might be able to help me with this?

Big collection of literary magazines for grabs

We (Boston Review) are a local magazine (what, you never heard of us?), and we're cleaning out our lit mag library in a major way. We've got everything from AGNI to VQR in here, and it'll all go to the recycler unless someone wants it-- four big boxes.  First Things, Parabola, Ploughshares, NYRB and more.  Tons of stuff.

Does anyone know of a place in the Boston/Somerville area where I might be able to find a 15,000 rpm internal SAS hard disk between now and Monday morning? I'm in one of those situations where I need this part and I cannot wait for it to be delivered by mail order.

Any suggestions? Help would be much appreciated.

Places I've already tried include:
-Micro Center in Cambridge (I don't think they even knew what I was talking about)
-Micro Computers in Medford
-Micro Northeast in Woburn (they're not open, even though they might well have what I'm looking for)

The owner contacted us last night and was safely returned this morning.  If anyone sees "gijit" roaming around the area, he lives down at the end of Bromfield Road.

Has anyone found a lost iPod, Willow and Appleton?

Tonight, around 7:15, around the corner of willow an Appleton, one of my housemates lost his black, 8GB, 3rd Generation iPod Nano (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/31/IPod_nano_3g_black.jpg/180px-IPod_nano_3g_black.jpg )

It's engraved with his name (which I'll tell you if you found it) and a '5 years of service' dedication.

Unlikely, I know, but here's hoping...
