Free kitchen table and 3 chairs now on the curb outside 66 Elmwood St. off Holland St. in Davis Sq. Somerville/North Cambridge. First come, first serve. I will remove the posting once the items are gone. If they are still there Mon. morning they will be taken away with the trash.

Barbecuing rules in Somerville?

Hi, I was at a friend's place today, and they had a barbecue going. At some point, the issue came up about some of the rules about barbecues here in Somerville. Are there rules (presumably related to fire hazard) about the minimum distance from your own house or your neighbor's? I assume it would not be allowed to barbecue 1 foot from a house... But is this true? Houses are pretty packed in many Somerville neighborhoods...
