DS meetup, one week reminder

This is just the obligatory 1 week reminder post for the next Davis Square meetup. We will be meeting in the back room of the Burren starting at 7pm on August 17th. We try to grab the tables in the back left hand corner of the room. If you don't know who we are, just ask the bartender.

Come out and have a drink and/or dinner and stick around for open mic night. If we are lucky, the guy that looks like Iggy Pop will be back.

Hi Davis Sq Community!

The Open Center for Children (www.open-center.org/) has a couple spots open in both their Green Room (2 1/4 to 3 1/2 yo) and their Blue Room (3 1/2 to 5 yo).  If you are like we were and have a 2 year old, a need to work and no day care.. stop panicking and give them a call!

My roomates and I were thinking about opting into a Community Supported Agriculture program, and I was wondering if anyone had experience with one of the farms who do drops in the davis/porter area and had recommendations?

I found a yellow kitten!

This afternoon I found this yellow kitten exploring behind my house on Morrison Ave near Willow. No collar, no ear tattoo, no discernable microchip. He happily came inside to eat my cat's food and play. Is he yours? He'd like to get going, but I'd hate to let him out and have him get hit by a car or something. I left a message for Somerville Animal Control as well.

Reliable VW service place close to DS?

Anyone know of/use a reliable VW mechanic/shop near Davis (or if you know of a great place, then anywhere).
I have been using ABJ but they have really gone downhill.
