Looking for a housemate for July 1

I've posted this on Craigslist, but I know several people on here have been looking for housing. Please feel free to share if you know someone who might be interested.

We are looking for one roommate for our five bedroom apartment starting July 1. The apartment consists of the second and third floors of a two-family home, and has a backyard, driveway (shared with the downstairs unit), free laundry in the basement, a spacious kitchen with dishwasher, 1-1/2 bathrooms, living room, and dining room. The room itself is fairly large with plenty of closet space and hardwood floors. We're about halfway between Davis and Ball Square, a 10 minute walk to Davis, and convenient to several busses.

We are two women and two men, all professionals in our late 20s/early 30s; two lab researchers and two administrative assistants. We're all pretty busy with work and outside activities, so people are always running in and out of the house, but we do like to sit down and chill together occasionally. We're looking for someone respectful and responsible, who will keep the common areas clean and pay bills on time.

Utilities are gas, electricity, and cable/internet, and are not included in the rent. The landlords will ask to run a credit check and sign a 12-month lease, and first month's rent ($630) and a security deposit of $600. No smoking. No pets.

Davis Square Bike Removal (from Somerville's FB Page)

To facilitate a MassDot construction project adjacent to the College Ave headhouse, T Ironworkers will be on site Monday morning by 8:30am to start removing unclaimed bicycles. Gilbane staff will be on hand to photograph each bike removed. Bikes will be stored in Charlestown and can be picked up by appointment only at: 21 Arlington Ave Building 2 Charlestown, MA 02129 (map attached) Contact for an appointment: Deb Gray (617) 222-3115 A visual description of the bike will be required. MBTA personnel will then bring out a single bike matching the description. If two bikes match the description, additional verbal description will be required.

What to do with semi-junker bike?

I salvaged a semi-junker bicycle from the curb this morning before the garbage crews got it. No seat, rusted chain -- but wheels and brakes seem to be in decent shape. Kind of small, but not a child's bike: http://imgur.com/a/wWwjQ

Since I see bikes in this condition on the trash heaps from time to time, I would like to ask: Who might want these? Are they only good for parts, or do people refurbish them? Should I poke some local bike collective? Would some SCUL member be interested in the parts?

(Of course, if you want *this* one, let me know -- but I really want to get a sense of the general case anyway.)
