It was supposed to be shown last Thursday but was postponed because of expected rain (which I think never actually came). So they're going to try again this Thursday.

For description see last week's post.

Signs in the window of 200 Elm Street say:
Knucklebones
for the love of play!

Opening October 2011

Knucklebones retail store and play spaces will be Greater Boston's most unique and developmentally appropriate venue for athletic products and programming for infants and young children. The store, purveying athletically inclined products and picture books, will allow children to try each product and allow parents, care givers and friends to handle each product and see the color range offered.

Two spaces, known as The Yard, a 30'x40' green space; and The Bowl, a 20'x20' indoor space, will allow all our clients to test and experience each product. In addition, these spaces will be available for planned programming.

Hey, I didn't write this ad copy, I'm just reproducing it here. I guess it's some sort of fancy toy store crossed with an indoor playground. The web site makes them sound more like an event planner, and doesn't even mention a retail store.

Meanwhile, The Caning Shoppe has moved to a much smaller space down the road at 55 Elm Street, next to Big Fish Little Fish. I think that space was a used bookstore for about 20 minutes.

Greetings! It is with heavy heart that I am leaving Davis Square for the Forest Hills area of JP. What makes it worse is that I can't take my wonderful couch with me. The logistics simply aren't there for me. It's quite large, can and has comfortably seated three adult males, sturdy, and in great shape. No rips or dings or damage. Here's the Craigslist posting, and I'm negotiable on the price.

I posted before and had a lot of luck getting rid of a lot of my stuff but I've still got a  tooooon of FiveFingers left. I'm moving tomorrow so I'd like these all to be out of here tonight. (Although I'll possibly be around for pick-ups Thursday. At a different address.) If you're around and have always wanted to try these out: perfect opportunity! They retail for $75-$140 but the model of your choice is yours for $30. These are new, some have boxes, some don't. Models and address info followExpandRead more... )

Hello neighbors, I posted two boxes of soapmaking supplies to CL but am hoping to reach more arts 'n' crafts folks here. I am getting rid of my soap molds, packaging materials, essential oils, and odds and ends. You add the soap base.

CL ad here, message me if you are interested. Thanks!
