I have a tv interview tomorrow with Channel 5 to talk about the challenges facing young adult cancer survivors and it just occurred to me that I literally have nothing to wear. I gained about 40 pounds during chemo and haven't been able to get it off yet (oh cancer - the gift that keeps giving). I'd like something classy to wear and tend to think I look better in A line dresses than in pants, so I need to find something that will fit my now size 20ish body but also make me look like the stylish 24 year old that I am.

Back in the day, I'd go to Torrid but the closest one to Boston makes me want to cry from the traffic. I work in Waltham and live in Medford - anything around those areas or in Davis itself that I might have luck at? I never really go into Buffalo Exchange because I assume they won't have my size. I hate going into places where their plus sized section is about 5 dresses, all in loud prints or unflattering cuts. Where would you go in a pinch?

Note- my budget ideally wouldn't be any higher than $100 for the dress.

So we were assured up and down that, due both to the lack of an opponent and to vacation-week short-staffing at 101.7 FM, there would be no WFNX "My Song is Better than Your Song"  Mayoral Challenge tomorrow morning.

But noooooooo. It's back on
.
I have few details -- such as who our opponent might be -- but the rules remain the same:
Please tune in to WFNX 101.7 FM at 9 a.m., then wait to hear both mayors intro and play their songs.  Once voting is officially opened (early votes aren't counted), VOTE for Mayor Joe’s song. (Vote for it even if it doesn't move you -- although Joe's got pretty good taste and I'm betting you'll like it.)

You may vote by Text, Phone, or Facebook -- or all three -- as follows:

 1) Text the Word WFNX and your song choice (title and band, please) to 22122
 2) Call 781-595-WFNX.
 3) Comment with your choice on the WFNX Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/1017wfnx

On behalf of your fellow 'Villens, I salute you for your municipal patriotism. (And I salute everyone outside the city limits who casts his/her vote with us just for the heck of it.)  Onward to alt rock victory!

UPDATED THURSDAY: WE WIN AGAIN!!!!! (And, on an entirely different topic, congratulations to Cambridge for at last having a mayor. Does this mean that they're ready for the WFNX challenge?)
Thanks to everyone who voted for Weezer's "I'm Your Daddy" -- especially those who secretly preferred the Smiths' "This Charming Man."
