About Knit & Sip Crochet Soirees

Each November, the Nave Gallery hosts Wrap Around, a sale of affordable handmade goods. All proceeds help fund the amazing work of the Somerville Homeless Coalition, and anything not sold is donated to them.

Join our monthly meetup, and knit, crochet, and create items for next November's sale. This is a really fun way to get your craft on and help keep someone warm during our very cold (normally) winters.

To keep up to date on events, join the meetup group at: http://www.meetup.com/Knit-Sip-Crochet-Soirees/.

Hello All,

Someone decided to give my convertible's soft top a "sunroof" while I was parked on the street. Now I need a new soft top and would like to have some roll bars installed. Does anyone know a good autobody place that is local?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you out and about trying to find deals at yard sales? why not come on over to my house and get some free stuff.

-5-6+ strands of white christmas lights (all rolled up, please take all), okay for outdoor use.
-Tire iron (get it before the scrappers take it)
-box with 20-30 padded envelopes, CD size
-cast iron alphabet baking pan, makes all letters of the alphabet. I've used for cornbread but would also be good for short bread type cookies
-several boxes of Haba wooden toys/building blocks, new in box (though fairly old).

I'm putting it out now (3pm) Saturday, in front of our house at 7 Gladstone Street, North Cambridge. We're right off Mass Ave before you cross into Arlington.

Thanks and enjoy!

Yep, a rat

Just a quick FYI for folks: I've seen a rat close to where I live between Porter and Union.

I've called the city and filed a work order, of course, and I'll be putting out a trap to kill it (please no moralizing; it's not an endangered species and it is a health risk). Just FYI to any in the area with pets or who might otherwise be concerned.

361 Washington St, Somerville, MA
August 25–November 11, 2012
Organized by Margaret Ryan, aka ‘Pearl K. Nit’

Perry Park, between Dane Street and Leland Streets, outside of Union Square (closer to Beacon Street), will be YARNSTORMED by artists young and old who enjoy knitting, crocheting and livening up a public space with yarn-based designs and patterns.

Come join us in installing this amazing public art piece. And, if you are feeling motivated, we are looking for items to decorate trees, chain link fences, bollard lights, bike rack, light poles and more.

Not sure what to make? Email Margaret Ryan, margaret@rcn(dot)com, for more details. Pieces can be dropped off before August 25th at the Nave Gallery.

This is event s part of the Wrap Around Project, the Nave's yearlong campaign to support the work of the Somerville Homeless Coalition.  For more information, visit: http://www.navegallery.org/wrap_around.html

Hello everyone-

I'm looking to share an apartment in the Davis Square area with one or more queer-friendly, cat-friendly, and generally awesome roommates.  Here's a little bit about me:

I'm a 27-year-old female, originally from Maine, but I've been living in the Boston area for 6 years now.  I work part time at a professional organizing company and I also do some work at my current landlord/roommate/friend's contracting business.  But my real love is theater.  I do backstage work at local community theaters in Somerville/Cambridge.  I love the area, and am eager to live there!

I'm looking for a space that is T-accessible (ideally Davis Square), pet-friendly, and has laundry onsite.  I'm able to move as soon as possible, but am looking at July 1st or August 1st as the potential move-in date.

Please contact me if you would like more information.  My email address is lisafish66@gmail.com.

Thanks for reading!
Lisa
