I have one adult ticket to the 4:30 Illuminations tour, C trolley, available for sale for $10. I managed to get tickets for my whole family for 5PM so no longer need the ticket I originally bought.

got smacked by a car

Got hit by the sideview mirror of a silver/bronze crysler(?) minivan with MA plates this morning around 8:20 while crossing the street between Downtown wine and spirits and Christo's pizza. It went out of its lane to hit me in the arm in the oncomming lane, and was inches from rolling me over the hood. Unfortunately I was too shocked to get its plates before it drove out of sight. So, just, be careful, and if you see a minivan with a folded down drivers side sideview get its plate number for me.

Wide driveway curb cuts, parking

One of my neighbors has a curb cut that is ~4 feet wider than their actual driveway. When parking, do I need to be 2 feet clear of the cut, or of the driveway? Those 4 feet are the difference in that spot being a 1-car parking location or a 2-car parking location.

Holiday Party, 2-for-1 Knit Sale, and last weekend of Threads Bared

Another big weekend at the Nave before we take a short break and get ready for an even bigger 2013...

We'll have a Holiday Party on Sunday from 12-5 to celebrate a great year.  It's also the closing weekend of "Threads Bared--Art Inspired by Fiber," so please come on by to see some amazing local art and play in an enormous crocheted plastic bag installation.

And, to help you out in your last minute shopping, we are having a special closing sale to wrap up Wrap Around:  we'll have a 2-for-1 deal (scarves, hats, gloves...) with all proceeds supporting the Somerville Homeless Coalition.

Wreath Auction to support Somerville Museum

The Somerville Museum is having a wreath auction on Ebay, to raise money to make the museum ADA compliant.  There are a big variety of wreaths, all decorated by local museum supporters.  Go to Ebay, and search "Somerville Museum Wreath".  

I am not involved with this fundraiser, but wanted to help spread the word.  Bidding ends Saturday at noon.  

William Roche Resigns from Somerville Board of Aldermen, Maureen Bastardi Appointed as Replacement

Citing a conflict with balancing family life with his duties of an alderman, Roche handed in is letter of resignation Thursday night. Somerville School Committee member Maureen Bastardi was appointed as his replacement.
