Community meeting on Day/Herbert hotel proposals - Tuesday 3/5

This Tuesday, March 5, will be the first community meeting regarding the hotel proposals for the Day/Herbert municipal parking lot. The meeting will run from 6 to 7:30 pm at Community Baptist Church, 31 College Avenue.

Somerville Commissions Workshop Set for March 7th

Are you interested in joining a Somerville Commssion? Please stop by the Commissions Workshop on Thursday March 7th from 6:30pm-7:30pm at CAAS (66-70 Union Square) to learn what the different Commissions do and meet some commissioners! There will be light refreshments provided.

Yarn. Fabric. Felt. Thread. Maybe you can have too much of a good thing? Time to refresh your stash and bring unwanted items to

the Nave Gallery’s Great Fiber Swap on Saturday, March 23rd,where you can donate items, swap with the community, and learn more about how you can get involved in the Wrap Around Project --a yearlong campaign to raise awareness of the issue of homelessness in our area.

What we need: We welcome yarn, fabric, thread, buttons, ribbon, knitting needles, and more. Items may be new or vintage, but must be usable. Anything left behind after the swap will be used to create items for the annual Wrap Around sale of handmade goods to benefit the Somerville Homeless Coalition, or used in upcoming public art installations throughout the Somerville. Items can be brought directly to the swap on Saturday, March 23, or dropped off at the Nave Gallery Annex in Davis Square on:
