Snow Emergencies in Medford?

I know Sommerville has the handy email list that announces the snow emergencies. What about Medford? Does anyone know if snow emergencies are published anywhere for Medford?

No such thing in Medford. Park on the even side of the street and you're fine, unless street sings say otherwise.

is medford as voracious about ticketing and towing as somerville is? I live on the medford somerville line, and no one can agree whether my building is somerville or medford or who is in charge of what, so it's always a toss-up where to park anyway. i'm pretty sure i'm parked in medford right now, on the even side, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm on the Medford/Somerville line as well, on the Medford side... as far as I know, they plow the main streets first like Boston Ave, Main, Warner, etc... if you're not parked on one of those you're probably safe tonight.

Could you tell by the color of the street sign? I think the Sommerville street signs are blue and Medford green. (or is it the other way around?)...

they're all white near me! :)
(and now they're all stuck with snow).
anyway, it's a bit more confusing than that... the post office thinks we're in medford, but somerville is happy to ticket right outside the building

You're right: street signs in Somerville are blue. Signs in Medford are green.

Here's the only info I have on winter parking restrictions in Medford:

Beginning November 1st and ending May 1st, overnight parking is allowed on one side of the street (odd or even) from 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM. Example: If the winter begins in an even year then parking is allowed on the even numbered side of the street only. Vehicles over 1 ton are not allowed to park overnight.

I've lived here and parked on the street for 8 years and have never had a problem. If anything, parking restrictions are under-enforced.

That's lame - wish they'd get with the technology! Unfortunately I live on a Main street with no parking during snow emergencies. Fortunately I scored a spot in our shared driveway for the night.

You might post over in medford_mass. Sadly Medford seems muchly backward compared to somerville for a lot of this stuff.
