Someone to vent dryer through roof
Jun. 2nd, 2015 04:15 pmI'm not completely sure what kind of tradesperson I'm looking for. Maybe a roofer.
Our dryer currently vents into the attic, which is bad in itself, and is also blocking a bigger project. I suspect the best solution is to vent it through the roof. There aren't any vertical walls accessible from there. (There is a sort of hollow overhang that might just barely accommodate a vent pipe, but it would come out at a weird angle that the external wall vents aren't designed for, and it would involve cutting through some wood that I suspect is our bedroom wall/ceiling.)
So, who's the right person to do this?
Other options might be to cut multiple holes in walls and run the pipe through our living space, or to move the washer/dryer to a less convenient location. I'm not very in favor of either.

New and worthy in the square
Jun. 2nd, 2015 04:35 pmI'm making my annual pilgrimage back to Davis and Ball squares to check on my property. I understand that a lot has changed since last summer, and I'm wondering what interesting, fun and noteworthy places I should check out while in town. I lived in the area for 10 years before I moved, so no need to tell me check out True Grounds or Diesel - but newer recommendations would be welcome.
