All interested are invited to a community meeting to discuss ideas for Hoyt-Sullivan Park (15 Central Street) on Monday June 8th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm taking place on-site at the park. Should Mother Nature not be kind to us, please plan on meeting in the third floor community room of the VNA (259 Lowell Street).

I'm not completely sure what kind of tradesperson I'm looking for. Maybe a roofer.

Our dryer currently vents into the attic, which is bad in itself, and is also blocking a bigger project. I suspect the best solution is to vent it through the roof. There aren't any vertical walls accessible from there. (There is a sort of hollow overhang that might just barely accommodate a vent pipe, but it would come out at a weird angle that the external wall vents aren't designed for, and it would involve cutting through some wood that I suspect is our bedroom wall/ceiling.)

So, who's the right person to do this?

Other options might be to cut multiple holes in walls and run the pipe through our living space, or to move the washer/dryer to a less convenient location. I'm not very in favor of either.

I'm making my annual pilgrimage back to Davis and Ball squares to check on my property. I understand that a lot has changed since last summer, and I'm wondering what interesting, fun and noteworthy places I should check out while in town. I lived in the area for 10 years before I moved, so no need to tell me check out True Grounds or Diesel - but newer recommendations would be welcome.
