Here's video from last night's Ward 6 candidate forum: Part 1 | Part 2

Somerville Scout profiles each of the candidates. A hardcopy of this is probably in your mailbox by now.

The Somerville Journal talked to three of the four candidates. (For some reason, Charlie Chisholm decided not to meet with the Journal.)

The Journal editorially endorsed David Lieberman.

I'm trying to accumulate all relevant links by editing this old post.

I attended the Forum and was pleased to see that all of the candidates seemed well informed and articulate. Some issues such as building a hotel in Davis Square are apparently still on the mayor's agenda--a fact of which I was not aware. I wish they had been able to take more questions from the audience, but all in all I walked away favorable impressions.

Boosting signal for my awesome upstairs neighbor. He writes:

"I spend a lot of time in Davis Square.. have a 2BR in Union Sq that's a short bus ride away. (Between Highland and Som'l Ave, busses on both) Currently looking for someone for 10/1 (with some flexibility before/after the date).

I'm just curious from people who are not the candidates or linked closely to any of them - how did you reach your decision? I have personally found that for the issues I care about, I can't see much of a reason to vote for one candidate as opposed to any of the others. So I'll probably end up voting based on some other reason I haven't decided on yet. They all seem like good people.

I'm wondering as to what is driving other voters. I'm probably not a typical municipal election voter (as a young and relatively recent renting resident of 4 years) but I'm willing to bet some more people like me are here on DSLJ.

Hi all,

I'm suffering from some buyer's remorse... I grabbed a ticket for the Salman Rushdie talk hosted by the Harvard Bookstore (Mon, Sept 21, 7 pm at First Parish), but my would-be plus-one fell through, so I'm looking to get rid of my ticket. I paid $31.32, which includes a ticket to the talk, a copy of his newest book, and the opportunity to get it signed. Looking to sell it!
