Multi-family yard sale this Sunday 10/16 from 10am to 2pm on four streets in the Davis Square area: Hall Ave, Francesca Ave, Rogers Ave, Highland Road. I know there are at least 5 houses on Hall Ave participating.

Antiques, pet supplies, clothing, cookbooks, musical equipment, toys, children's items, books, yoga equipment, baseball cards, kitchenwares, household goods, and more!

Period/retro fashion scarves (and hats) to good home

My elderly aunt has recently and abruptly had to move into a nursing home, and I'm helping out with breaking down her apartment. I found her trove of scarves, which she no longer wants. I suspect they're something somebody would love. They're very 1960s-to-1980s, bright colors, bold patterns, some I think silk. Also ribbons and sashes.

If that hypothetical person exists and is reading LJ, and replies very soon, the whole sack of them is theirs for the asking - but you have to take the lot.

ETA: just found her hat collection. I had no idea. These are also free for the asking.
