Celebrating our Sanctuary City. Sat Feb 4, 10am. Somerville High School.

In the interest of spreading the word--despite the fact that right now I have limited info on this--there's a rally next Saturday, Feb. 4, for our city status. 30 years. That's kind of a nice round number. Let's celebrate.

Join The Welcome Project, City of Somerville (Official), and your neighbors on the Somerville High School concourse in showing support for our Sanctuary City (2017 is the 30th anniversary of Somerville becoming a Sanctuary City) and all members of our community. The rally will feature a short speaking program and musical performances.

In case of inclement weather, the rally will be held in the Somerville High School Auditorium.

Looking for a new housemate in Porter Square!

Hey, y'all, I rarely use LJ anymore, but I know the Davis community is pretty active, and we live just down the street, so I thought I'd risk posting here about our housemate search. :)

Our household is located on the Somerville/Cambridge line, MA, next to Porter Square.
4 housemates (new housemate will be the 5th)
2 friendly cats
5 bedrooms
1 huge dining room/kosher kitchen combo
1 smaller eat-in kitchen that's not kosher
3 full bathrooms (2 large bathtub/shower, 1 with huge shower stall)
1 living room (possibly to be repurposed as work/gaming space)
1 entertainment room (with projector TV screen, BluRay DVD player, & TiVo)
1 small office
2 sets of free washers/dryers for laundry in the basement
huuuuuge library of books & dvds
