Tall female house burglar arrested in Davis Square neighborhood

This police report got my attention because tall female burglars are pretty rare, and this happened right around here on Cottage Avenue:

Somerville neighbor alerts police to break-in, police offer tips

A resident alerted police to a break-in in her neighborhood, leading them to arrest a Somerville woman on April 7. Police warn residents about a rise in home breaks and ask them to be alert.

A neighbor told police that a tall white female wearing white pants and a white shirt was allegedly on the fire escape, trying to open the windows at 23 Cottage Ave.

Farrah Ann Manning, 34, of 55 Ossippee Road was charged with two counts of attempt to commit a crime, according to the report.

Everyone -- if you have a window leading to a fire escape, be sure to lock it when you are not home.
