breakfast tomorrow

where in and around davis has good pastries and light things for breakfast (i.e., not brunch, not exclusively omelettes etc.) and will be open tomorrow morning between 8 and 10?

au bon pain and carberry's will have the widest selection. diesel, someday cafe and dunkin donuts should all have pastries and bagels (don't know about starbucks cause i've never been in). there's an italian pastry shop, La Contessa I think? but I don't know it's hours.

i'm going to second the diesel and carberry's. carberry's in particular has yummy scones.

The Carberry's in Davis, however, is no longer Carberry's. It is now O'Naturals. Haven't been there, though, so I can't say a thing for the scones in particular, or the menu in general.

actually, we stayed in the neighborhood and went to true grounds, although i'm less than inspired by their basic bagel offerings.

where's the croissants????
