 Hi all!

I'm glad to be back as a part of the community after a long hiatus!  

I'm also an avid member of the Dr. Casey Cook fan club.  I'm phobic of the dentist, and he's the first one in years that I've actually been glad to see.

That said, I'm returning back after a bit of a hiatus from caring for my teeth again and grabbed an appointment with Corey (sp?) versus the hygenist I normally see to get myself in faster.  

Does anyone have experience with him/her?  I'm a bit apprehensive about seeing someone other than Meg and wondered if others might be able to share their experiences?

Hey there! I go to Davis Square Dental in Davis. Dr. Cook is the best. I too am terrified of the dentist and he's been a God Send. A couple of things: to get in for a regular cleaning generally runs a wait of 8-10 months, but you can get on the cancellation list for appointments that open up sooner. If you have a critical pain/tooth issue you can get in to see the doctor sooner.

Meg is the friendliest hygienist there, but Cory is totally good too. If she hassles you to get an electric toothbrush, listen to her! It changed my life.

Funny post -- I've had Meg as my sole hygienist for almost 5 years now and last week for the first time ever ended up having my teeth cleaned by Corey.

I found her to be much more amiable than Meg. Considering how fond I'm not of going to the dentist, I find Corey's approach more relaxing. Others who are looking to get it over with as quickly as possible might appreciate Meg's more determined and efficient approach that involves little to no small talk.

I think both do an equally good job of cleaning my teeth.

I am glad to have now experienced both Corey and Meg for comparison, but have to say that Meg is still my dental angel as it were. :) While Corey was lovely, I find Meg's demeanor to be both friendlier and she is much less heavy handed in scraping and cleaning.

However, I owe you a huge bit of thanks! You helped to alleviate my anxiety about trying someone new with your post enough to propel me through for a much needed visit resulting in both perscriptions and a referral to a specialist. As someone who adores Dr. Cook, but still struggles with major dental visit anxiety-cheers good online friend!
