Found cat

The cat my roommate and I found a couple weeks ago is still unclaimed and we cannot keep her any longer. So, is anyone in the market for a youngish female cat that is already litter box trained? She has all her claws still and is fairly independent (likes to curl up on your bed, but not on you, etc). The vet we took her to to check for a chip told us that she was not a kitten anymore, but not very old. Maybe under two years?
Please let me know, we really don't want to see her in a shelter/cage anywhere.
Maybe if you aren't interested you know someone who is?

Hello,
Did you report this found kitty to Somerville Animal Control?

I'd be totally interested in taking her, but I can't until September...would you be able to keep her until then? I could probably pay for food/supplies until I can pick her up in September.

If you do end up having to surrender her to a shelter, please make sure it's a no-kill shelter:

Is she long-haired? I have one female cat who is five and a half years old and have been considering getting another cat to keep her company. However, I can't have a long-haired cat because of allergies. Depending on that, I might be able to consider taking her...

Also, do you know approximately how much she weighs? (Don't know if the vet might have checked her out a bit...)

I'm definitely interested! She sounds like a cat that might fit in well with the cat I have now, in terms of age and size. I would like to at least see her, if that would be okay, and if no one says they can take her before then (if someone does, please feel free to pursue that option!). I'm actually leaving four a four-day trip for the wedding of a couple friends, so I don't know that I'd be able to see her before Monday... :-/

Another question: Did the vet mention whether he thought she was spayed or not?
