It's a great car, meticulously maintained and serviced by dealerships, and with recent service (new timing belt!, etc.) it will likely live forever. edit: Er, sorry. I hadn't looked at the headline of the craigslist ad. Indeed, there is it, a GLS.

It ocurrs to me that you may wish to include in your advert the trimlevel of the vehicle. From the gas mileage figures figures it's likely that this is the 2.0L GL, but because the market for this particular car has a very healthy proportion of enthusiast gearhead types, that information will make a difference.

I'm not in the market for a VW right now, but they're great cars, and I'm sorry that you're having to give yours up. Good luck in finding the car a new home!

i also wanted to add what great cars these are. i have a 2000 (named nugget) and it's been awesome. vw's tend to have a lot of meaningless plastic 'bits' that can be a pain, but the important parts are all swell. plus, hatchbacks are great for the city.
