Spring safety hint

Spring has sprung! Make sure that Mother Nature isn't creating cover for crooks by clearing brush near your foundations and basement windows, and don't store gardening equipment and supplies where they could provide cover for a burglar.

I don't think I posted when somebody dumped out my basil plants to steal the expensive clay pots (!) but that was because I suspected people in my own house and couldn't prove it. Ugly cracked plastic ones work just as well anyway.

Your comment about gardening supplies makes me think of a burglar hiding behind a rake, Buggs Bunny style.

They're more likely to use the rake (or more likely a sturdier implement) to break a window.
