I drove past the Davis Sq. Carberry's today, and the sign had changed! It no longer says Carberry's, but the Carberry's web site still lists it. Anyone have any information about the change?
They got bought by somebody, there was a big sign on the wall the last time I went in... Natural something... or something to that effect. But it looks like they've sort of just expanded the menu and offer some new things as well.
Sign on the wall says that Carberry's was bought by the Stoneyfield Farms folks. They like Carberry's and will simply augment the menu rather than scrapping and replacing.
It is being run by O'Natural's (onaturals.com) which is part of Stonyfield Farm. Their web site doesn't mention this location yet. It is their attempt to make organic, natural, tasty fast food. A friend of ours worked for them in Acton. Their menu is usually wraps, salads, noodles and soups.
Those who are into supporting local/small business may wish to be reminded that Stoneyfield Farm is owned almost entirely by Dannone, a French conglomerate.
doesn't everything good go that way? Stonefield certainly didn't start out as a multinational. last I read, the guy who started the company was still doing good things with trying to make organic more accesible and affordable to the public at large. I do see your point (and agree with it), but wanted to point out that there's still good stuff going on.
The O'Natural's in Acton is really great. The food is really good and all organic. The floors in the bathrooms are all recycled tires. The doors are taken from old hotels. The bread is sooo good. A nice place to good for just really good and helathy food.
I got hooked on O'Naturals when I lived in Maine and I'm so excited to see one opening up just down the street from me. The menu's still limited but a sign inside the store says that they'll soon have more options and that all the O'Naturals are now going to be carrying Carberry's pastries.
Hey there : I know that Carberry's had free wireless at one point. Does this new place have a connection? Right now the only place the I know of w/ free wireless is True Grounds. Is that still accurate info?

I can't tell if they are encouraging carberry's baking to be more organic or not. If so, that would be great.
