What is a 'street team volunteer'? Are you trying to sell tickets to people as they walk down Elm Street?

I thought the term "street team" was well known, apparently not.

1. A street team member helps a band or promoter by putting up posters in the venue's neighborhood. Often this is done in exchange for concert admission.

2. notloB folk concerts are not for profit and run on volunteer labor. ABSOLUTELY NO TICKETS ARE SOLD, admission is by "suggested donation". All donations collected go to expenses (rent, sound, printing) and to the artists.
