Yak and Yeti open today

Not *right* in Davis Square, but pretty close: just drove by Yak and Yeti on Broadway, across from where it intersects with Willow Avenue, and they have the signs up saying they are opening today. They feature Nepali and Indian cuisine. It being their first day, I have yet to hear reviews; if you go, please to post about it.

Googlemaps puts it at a 13 minute walk from Davis Square.

They also have signs saying that for grand opening, you can buy one lunch buffet and get the 2nd half-price (probably too late now!) or one entree and get teh 2nd entree half price.

They were overwhelmed by the size of the crowd on Monday, so there was a long wait for the food. It was decent though. I had lamb vindaloo and enjoyed the flavor, though I would have preferred it hotter.

I went today, they weren't terribly crowded around 7pm and were very attentive to us, and the food wasn't too long a wait but they made sure we knew when it was coming etc anyway.

Addictive crunchy roasted soybean appetizer, tasty seasonings, and quite reasonably priced.
