In Search of Used Toys

I am in search of gently used stuffed animals, for use in an art project. I have hit most of the local thrift stores and discount stores to little effect, largely because of the law that Massachusetts passed last year making it difficult for places like Goodwill and Salvation Army to resell used children's clothing or toys. If you have been doing any weeding of your children's toys and wouldn't mind said toys being repurposed for artistic endeavors, please let me know! I will be happy to come and collected them from you.

I've been helping the Medford UU church get ready for their rummage sale on Saturday, and there's a whole table of stuffed animals that will undoubtedly be selling for cheap.

I have one small stuffed bear that's just been sitting on my desk because I didn't know what to do with it... Not sure it's worth the effort since it sounds like you may have a "bulk source" (ha) with this rummage sale.

I'll be out of town for the weekend, but maybe if you find you could still use it by Monday, we can arrange a pick-up/drop-off.

The last time I brought donations to Little Fox, they wouldn't take stuffed animals because they have so many. They might give them away for free if people snuck them into their donations, or they want to clear out their supply.

Yes, they stopped accepting stuffed animals for donations I stopped by lat night and there were at least a couple dozen for sale. The OP might score a good deal, they don't seem to sell that well. the down side is, the hours are not very convenient.

Hmmmm...I just looked at the forecast and the weather doesn't look good for a yard sale. Maybe we'll have a porch sale. :) Or if we don't do anything, I'll put the toys in a plastic bag to put on the porch for you.
