A tasty week coming up! Taste of the World, etc

It is the season of tasting events. Yum Somerville (for The Welcome Project) was a few weeks ago and was a great time; Taste of Somerville is next Tuesday; and my event, Taste of the World, is next Thursday (June 10th).

Taste of the World is a benefit for Hostelling International's Cultural Kitchen program, where urban youth learn about culture and diversity through cooking. We've worked with over 50 school including many of the Somerville schools (near Davis, we've worked with the JFK and the West Somerville Neighborhood School)

The event, to be held at the City Year Building in the Back Bay, is an international tasting event with a dozen restaurants showcasing foods from around the world - including The Burren and Istanbul'lu from the DS area. There is also a food-themed silent acution with great prizes - contributors from the DS area include Kickass Cupcakes, Sabur, and Dave's Fresh Pasta. The event is $60 and includes also live music and two complimentary drink tickets.
