The sun came out... so here's an outdoor dining guide!

It was completely gray this morning, but then the sun came out! Inspired me to make a guide to all the places where you can sit and eat or drink ice cream, sushi, falafel, pub food, bistro food, etc... along Mass Ave. from Beech Street down to Shepard Street.

they can't serve liquor in their outdoor seats (yet?), but noire and i enjoyed fantastic pizza outside at posto (between porter and davis) last night. highly recommended!

Maybe slightly too far from Davis to be relevant in this community - but only slightly - I'll mention that my favorite outdoor dining in the general vicinity is at Henrietta's Table at The Charles Hotel in Harvard Square - the food is excellent and the seating, in a big interior courtyard, could hardly be better.

Somehow I only ever eat at Henrietta's Table in the winter... I should try it this summer!

Harvest also has a private patio but I haven't been blown away by the food there. It always seems like it should be better than it is...

Do you happen to have a list for the rest of Mass. Ave, beyond Beech Street? Last night I saw people at outdoor seating outside Joe Sent Me on Mass. Ave. near Dudley Street in North Cambridge.

I only went up as far as Spirit (which doesn't have outdoor seats) and Banjo's Roast Beef (which doesn't seem to be open regular hours yet?) which is where my "territory" for the Examiner ends. But if no one is writing about that end of things maybe I should do that next!

I went by around 8pm several days ago, and then drove past around lunch time and didn't stop but it looked like all the lights were off. Then again that was after a storm so maybe they had no power...?
