If you draw comics and live in Somerville, please drop me an email: kjc@kjcedits.com

I'm (a) doing a headcount and (b) looking for potential interview subjects on the topic of Somerville's artist community and making comics in this area.

If you know of comickers in town, please drop them a note or include their names in your email to me.

Thank you!

I'm pretty sure he lives in Cambridge. But he might have moved.

Looks like Randall is indeed in Somerville now. And, as you can see (http://www.flickr.com/photos/thereisnofive/3963338644/in/set-72157622347656241/), he lives in your typical Somerville apartment. :-)

Well, it's worth a try...

My son is (was) a first year Media Arts and Animation major in Boston (he's starting year #2 in Sept)...sometimes lives at my mom's house (in Davis Sq)... he's got a WHOLE comic/cartoon series sketched out in his sketch books...characters, plots, etc.

Not sure if this counts, but well, there you go. Let me know if you want more info and I can email you.

Liz Prince lives in Somerville: http://comicnrrd.livejournal.com/

I also draw comics, although my focus has shifted a little bit to teaching comics to kids.

There is a sf/f mag based out of Somerville. It takes one-time and serial submissions of fiction and artwork.

Although it might not be what you're after, the editors might know where to find out about more people in the area who draw. You should contact them to find out.

Talk to the folks at the comic book shop in Union Square, if you haven't already. They feature a lot of local comic artists.

And, yeah, Jef Czekaj actually organizes comic artists in the area, so he's a good one to contact.

Also, talk to the people at Union Square Main Streets (http://www.unionsquaremain.org/committees/Special%20Events/fluff%20alt.html), as they did a contest or something to create a comic book for the Fluff Fest, so they would have know many local comic artists.

Oh and Gareth Hinds (http://www.garethhinds.com/index.php) lived in Somerville at one point, and may still live here (his website doesn't say), so you might want to check him out.
